1 . ABOUT VELVET
Velvet is a special kind of cloth with dense microfibers on its surface. As opposed to common surfaces, velvet has a sharp and inverse response to light.
Most materials produce highlights on hills but velvet produces highlights on ascents.
In the image below, dots show the color of the cloth and arrows show highlights on the ascents.
