O.K., not bad. But how do you save your directory full of files into a .mov format? Your mouse moves off the screen and suddenly a .mov file is playing. Seeing that there is no sound would you please elaborate on what steps need to be taken to play the file sequence. Thanks.

sorry, actually maxwell can´t export to *.mov directly. Mov was created after with any utility joining the png files. Video doesn´t shows this process because is not neccesary to create the Maxwell sequence scene but you can create it with other program like premiere or after_effects.

OMFG!
This is absolutely retarded. What about in the moving sequence?
You can't even change multilight??!!!
This is UNUSABLE for post-production companies.
That's too bad! Nobody has time to import 400,000 images.

Dear jmagic,

Unfortunately, you're right. At the present it is not possible to load a sequence of mxi and edit its lighting conditions with MultiLight in just one single step. You should load one mxi, edit it with MultiLight and save your modification to a Emixer file.
After that, you must apply this emixer file to all the renders of your sequence. In the near future, you will be able to do this automatically with an script.
We are working hard to make Maxwell a better renderer, and we'll consider your suggestion for the future.

Best regards

If you're on a Mac and want to convert still images to a .mov, use Graphic Converter's Convert or any compositing app like After Effects, Shake, etc. Most high-end studios use hdr still frames anyway...

Even in Windows, you can load a sequence of still images and create with them a video using After Effects, Nuke, Fusion, or even QuictTime Pro itself.
