An excellent turorial. There is however a short cut for switching to the sequence editor.
To the immediate right of the Help button on the File menu bar, is a button 'SR:2-Model' Clicking on the up down arrow of this button, lets you select different layout modes. Selecting '4-Sequence' will split the Blender workspace into relevant sequencer windows automatically.
This can save you a lot of time.

Thanks Tim! I knew that preset, although at the same time I wanted to introduce the workflow in Blender UI, that's why. ;)
